The Boat

Ocean 55 is a beautiful 55 foot 1983 Ocean Yachts Sports Fisher. The yacht features a wide and open cockpit, a spacious salon, entertainment system with karaoke and 30,000 song database, full galley, and three staterooms with ensuites. The yacht can cruise at 20 knots with its twin Detroit 8v92T diesels,  making it ideal for multi-day tours to the Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound.

Tour Packages

Rates for day tours

$650.00 per hour, minimum 4 hours for local tours. Fuel included.

Package A: 4 hour sightseeing, crabbing and fishing

Depart Pacific Boulevard Marina. Slow cruise through False Creek. Enjoy spectacular views of Science World, 2010 Olympics Athletes Village, Coopers Park, Cambie Street Bridge, Yaletown, Quayside Marina, Granville Street bridge, Granville Island houseboats. Pass under Burrard Street bridge, Sunset Beach on right, Vanier Park on left. Head towards English Bay and navigate around the anchored freighters. Stanley Park on right. View of West Vancouver and “Lying Buddha” mountain formation. Drop crab traps. Cruise towards UBC.  Drop anchor and fish for flounder/sole. Raise anchor and cruise back to pick up crab traps. Head back towards False Creek and return to Pacific Boulevard Marina at the Plaza of Nations.

Package B: 4 hour sightseeing and crabbing

Depart Pacific Boulevard Marina. Slow cruise through False Creek. Enjoy spectacular views of Science World, 2010 Olympics Athletes Village, Coopers Park, Cambie Street Bridge, Yaletown, Quayside Marina, Granville Street bridge, Granville Island houseboats. Pass under Burrard Street bridge, Sunset Beach on right, Vanier park on left. Head towards Stanley Park passing by Second Beach, Third Beach and Siwash Rock. Drop crab traps.  Continue towards Burrard Inlet, pass under the Lions Gate bridge passing by Brockton Point. Enjoy the beautiful water views of Coal Harbour and Downtown Vancouver. Cruise past the Port Metro Vancouver, the largest port in Canada and the West Coast of North America. Head under Iron Workers Memorial Bridge towards Indian Arm. Cruise back to pick up crab traps. Head back towards False Creek and return to Pacific Boulevard Marina at the Plaza of Nations.

Package C: 6-7 hour sightseeing, crabbing, fishing and prawning

Depart Pacific Boulevard Marina. Slow cruise through False Creek. Enjoy spectacular views of Science World, 2010 Olympics Athletes Village, Coopers Park, Cambie Street Bridge, Yaletown, Quayside Marina, Granville Street bridge, Granville Island houseboats. Pass under Burrard Street bridge, Sunset Beach on right, Vanier park on left. Head towards Stanley Park passing by Second Beach, Third Beach and Siwash Rock. Drop crab traps. Continue past West Vancouver and Lighthouse Park. Drop prawn traps. Head towards Bowen Island. Drop anchor and fish for flounder/sole. Raise anchor and cruise back to pick up prawn traps. Cruise back towards Stanley Park to pick up crab traps. Head back towards False Creek and return to Pacific Boulevard Marina at the Plaza of Nations.

Package A: Desolation Sound

Desolation Sound is considered by many to be the most beautiful and serene coastal cruising areas in the world. There is virtually no development in the area so sealife and wildlife are in abundance  - sea lions, seals, whales, bald eagles, and deer are only a few of the many species that can be spotted.  Waters are well protected, calm and warm during the summer months, making for perfect anchorages.  Enjoy the freshest just-caught oysters, crabs, prawns, halibut, and salmon which are plentiful in the area. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 6 days. $15,000.00 Taxes and fuel charges extra.

Package B: Sunshine Coast

5 days. $15,000.00  Taxes and fuel charges extra. Itineraries are suggestions only and can be modified. Customized itineraries are also available. Please contact us for rates. 5% GST and 7% PST will be charged on all packages.
